CBDP is pleased to announce its partnership with the Aminone Sifo Kessiena Endowment Program (A.S.K.).
The A.S.K. Endowment Program was established to honor the life and memory of Aminone K. Sifo (Mimi), a bright and driven sickle cell warrior who overcame the odds to achieve great heights personally, academically and professionally.
As part of this partnership, the following programs will be launched in the CBDP host community in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, Nigeria:
– A.S.K. Annual Awareness Campaign: an annual awareness campaign for parents and families of,and children with the dominant sickle cell trait. The campaign would be geared toward providing educational awareness around the sickle cell trait and providing participants with information around living a life without limits.
– A.S.K. Medical Treatment Fund: a medical treatment fund will be established at a local clinic to supplement medical expenses of children undergoing medical treatment related to the sickle cell trait.
– A.S.K. Scholarship Fund: a scholarship fund targeted at students with the dominant sickle cell trait in the community.
