Absolutely! We welcome individual innovators with open arms. Your unique ideas are eagerly awaited.

Yes, team participation is encouraged. Please note, the maximum team size allowed is five members.

While we welcome innovative ideas across all our thematic areas, we especially encourage submissions that propose novel solutions to community challenges specific to Nigeria and the broader African continent. Projects that demonstrate a deep understanding of local contexts and offer tangible benefits to these communities are highly valued in this hackathon.

The hackathon will focus on Education, Healthcare, Environmental Sustainability, and Fin-Tech. These themes are meant to guide your innovative solutions.

While having a working prototype could be advantageous, it is not mandatory. The emphasis will be on the clarity, impact, and the proposed methodology of your solution.

Upon selection, we will pair you with a mentor suited to your project’s needs. Mentor interactions will primarily be virtual, extending to in-person collaboration on the day of the hackathon.

Judging will be based on four key areas: the impact of the solution, feasibility, technical methodology, and business strategy.

Participants will refine their ideas with guidance from their mentors, culminating in a final presentation to our panel of judges.

Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses to the venue.

Selected participants will be informed via email by April 30th, confirming their participation.

Not at all. We invite anyone with a community-driven idea aimed at addressing societal challenges, regardless of their technical background.

The event will take place in Lagos. Specific details of the venue will be communicated to successful applicants.

Yes, all participants are required to bring their own laptops. The hackathon is a hands-on event where you will be developing and presenting your solutions. Ensuring you have the necessary equipment is essential for participation.
